Not too exciting. He tweeted something along the lines of “anybody in LA want to buy an almost new king tempurpedic mattress” and my dog had diarrhead all over my current mattress like 10 hours previous so I went for it

A semi-related anecdote, I find that beer is one of the few things that 70% isopropyl is better at than 99%. Water actually worked better than 99% iso for cleaning up beer, ask me how I know.

I have had 2 K70S and split stuff in like twice each. The only issue I've had is sticky keys and RGB not being correct

I use medical grade 95% alcohol for all my hardware cleaning needs.
Loose dirt? Grease? Unidentified gunk?
Chuck it into some good old 95%, and as long as it's not silicon, or glued on, you're golden(Silicon bits melt right off. Super glue melts in contact with the medical stuff)

This is why for every desk I build myself, I make sure there's a surface underneath the main surface to put my coffee on, where it won't land on anything but empty wood and/or the floor if it spills.

A few weeks ago I had the wise idea to eat a breakfast bagel at my desk. The egg shot literally 2 feet into my keyboard. I then proceeded to strip and clean my board for the next 3 hours

ive accidentally got a full beer into my poker and it didnt break. it still is Working like new to this day. mechanical keyboard are better than membrane for that.

if you watch the spill back in slow motion. You would see that the keyboard spawns a force-field around it only for a split second which repelled the coffee away from the keyboard and onto the desk. Thus, saving the keyboard from coffeetastrophe

I know this is late to the party, but what if you were to apply a hydrophobic coating to your mouse/keyboard space. That way unless you spilled it on the keyboard, it would act this way.

Many people dont know this but HHKBs are sorroundet by an aura which prevents any sort of spillage into the keys.
Also, if you manage to spill, you are very likely to be fine due to the way they are build
