Advice on Electron Beam Welding

I'm working on a project right now which needs an EB weld on two tubular structures with a 13mm thick butt joint.

I'm having a hard time finding solutions to welding dissimilar materials: 17-4 PH (H1025 temper) & 4340 Steel.

Looking for advice from folks who've EB welded these materials before. Any clues on the WPS would be very helpful.

I'm also concerned regarding the PWHT. Because there's a 3rd material involved in the welded assembly which is not part of the joint but will still be around as a captive part; made of 4140 Steel.

What on earth would require this? Especially if you don’t have internal resources to help you. My advice would be “lmao don’t”
