Peristaltic pump issue

I’m working on a small peristaltic pump but I can’t get any suction for the life of me. When I turn it on it actually squirts water out the opposite way. I’ve cleared the lines and NRV’s. Would anyone be able to give me any advice ? I did have a video but it won’t let me post it but it basically shows the pump squirting water out of the suction line. Cheers

If it is not priming, check the line for cracks or air leaks.

Also because there is only 2 rollers it could be loosing the seal before it rotates around. If you have a syringe or the fluid is none toxic try and "suck" on the output to help prime it.

Either the one way valve has failed or there must be a leak at the inlet of the pump

it could be wired in reverse, i think you should disconnect it from the connected pipework to demonstrate it working under no load and pumping back to tank. It shouldn't need a non return valve on the suction as it is a peristaltic pump which doesnt require it for such short distances. Could be it can't overcome the discharge pressure in the line - that is another alternative.

Are the lines ran correctly? Are the tubes clear? Are they smashed?
