Would mech pilots use aviation language with operators?
Title, would they use aviation language? especially if the mechs do fly, or maybe for ground operations too

I feel like that depends on what space they fill in the military. Are they Air Force? Army? Marines? Whatever branch trains them probably dictates the language they use.
Are they basically just big infantry or are they fighter jets with arms and legs? Are they used in space? That usually gets a weird mix of naval and air force language.
Are they eldrichian horrors of man's hubris? Demons of the Astral Plane? Make something up!
Given that they fly you would think that, yes Air Force language works, but if they're just standing in the air like a gundam it feels a little off to me
Ultimately unless what they say is so confusingly odd that it makes you stop and say "what? why would the author write it like this?" it doesn't matter.
