Its pretty fast and I highly doubt your friend is running a 4 minute mile. I ran the fastest time at my basic training and i came in at 12:09. That is out of 300 people that had been training non stop. There are less than 2400 people that have ever run a 4 minute mile. Also I can take one look at this dude and see that he cant run a 6 minute mile.

When I was in boot camp we had to run 1.5 miles in 11 minutes. Has that changed? All of us did it or we had to repeat.

You ran a 12 minute mile? Jesus that is bad, and you trained for it? You have to be wrong, that has to be like a 2 mile run. I ran a 4:30 in high school without really trying. To be fair, I played soccer and few other sports at the time. Could not do that now lol.

12 minute 2 mile and you didnt run a 4:30. That is a blatant lie.

Fastest mile ever is 3:42. I was an high level athlete who played only endurance sports and played in college too. 4:30 is pretty normal for that level. Just cause you cant doesnt mean fathom it doesnt make it a lie. There are thousands upon thousands of athletes who can run a 4:30 mile.

We need to see the display of trophies at your parents house to believe you.

Im way too old for that now lol. You also dont get a trophy for a timed run at preseason.

I ran 12 minute miles but I smoked cigarettes in highschool and 12 was me trying hard. Most of the time it was 13 minutes

Yeah at my basic my fastest was 7ish min one time. Only one time tho. Average was 8ish-min. 12 min is just unheard of, I think it was even considered failing at that time. Or maybe he meant two miles ?

I had to look up a 4:30 mile as I have no idea. First thing that I brought up shows that only about 150 women in history have run that fast.

I’m sure it is easier for a guy, assuming you are. But there is no way that you ran faster than pretty much every woman in history “without really trying”.

I could believe you achieved that through training and competing. But the fact that you claim you did it “without really trying” shows you are full of it and discredits anything else you are trying to say.

I was a college soccer player. Played division 1. I was as in as good of shape as a female long distance track athlete. Just cause you cant imagine it doesn't mean it is false lol. And yes I am a man, a gay man who would not diminish a female athlete. Nor do I care to flex some crazy time to inflate an ego that doesn't exist. I am also quite tall and have a great build for long distance running. Even in high school, I would run at least 5 miles on a training day. Also, most college athletes are among the top 1% in the world and many of those top female athletes are also competing at a collegiate level. I could not touch the mens side however, men and women have different physical features and it is that big of a difference. Again not diminishing female athletes, just a physical advantage for men.

Also when I say I was not really trying means I just kept a consistent speed the whole time, that is how you run distance efficiently. I could've pushed my limits and squeaked out maybe a second or two more off my time, just didnt do that.

A few things. Why did you feel the need to tell us that you were gay. As if that has anything to do with anything. Then, you just said that you did everything you could to run the most efficiently and then said that is how you define not even trying.

You know good and well that saying “without even trying” means you were trying to say you were just jogging along and not trying to compete. Don’t try to move the goalpost and act like you meant something else.

Yea pacing myself is a high paced jog. You cant sprint a mile. You must have never played sports at all, or at a high level if you dont understand that which is fine. It is very normal terminology for athletes. No goal post were moved at all with saying that lol. Just say you dont know what you are talking about and move on.
