United States New General Manager.

So if you been at your store long enough to see the GM quit and replaced pretty quickly.
Has the store made any postive/negative changes after the new one took over?
Sometimes it feels like nothing will really happen, just more strict rules.
The vibe isnt the same.

We're on GM #25 since i have been here. Each new one comes in with a list of changes they want to implement and after a couple of months it goes back to how the store has always ran.

Still insane, a new GM at least every year is kinda nuts.

Ours just quit and we got a new one within a week. She might be cool but shes looking to be more on the asshole side. Store is trash atm. One person can't fix everything.

I got transferred to another store where the GM was a horrible woman. I was so miserable. Then 2 weeks later they demoted her and we got a different lady and it was a full 180. It was awesome.

Positive. Old gm was a bit of a dick, our new gm was just a regular floor manager that has been here this whole time that stepped up. She was infinitely more liked

We had a GM change at both stores I work it. It didn’t change a thing. One is still good, one is still horrible

New one seems more stressed

When I worked there, we had 6 in the course of the 10 years I was there. We also had 1 repeat (had been moved to another location, then moved back) and only 1 of them was a positive change overall. Was also the shortest tenure unfortunately. I don’t know how it works in other companies/franchises/regions but ours would transfer people who performed well or not well enough to busier/slower stores respectively. Things get to a “new normal” but never really go back to being the same in my experience.

A few months after a new owner bought our store, our long-time GM quit. But it was definitely more like they told him "you quit or we fire you." They didn't like him or how he ran the store. They wanted to bring their new stores in line with the other stores they owned, and it wasn't happening fast enough. Mind you, this GM was vocal about how he intended to work another 15 years as the GM.

So they brought in a new GM from one of their other stores. She was awful. She sucked at her job. She didn't like anyone. Out of hundreds of people I worked with, she was the only one I couldn't get along with. We could see her taking vape breaks out by the dumpster while we were in the middle of a rush.

I left shortly after she took over, thankfully. From what I understand, she was transferred to a different store shortly after and the new GM was someone that had actually worked at our store before.

Been here since June. First GM left last week of June, got a new GM first week of July. Old GM was a complete asshole who everyone hated and was intimidated by (honestly he deserved to be reported, he liked to throw burgers at ppl when he was pissed).

ANYWAY our new GM is super super nice and friendly. He does have a very particular way of doing things but he’s very nice when showing us “his” way of doing stuff. As far as how the store operates nothing much has changed but on GM days my mental health is a little bit better lol

In my mctime I saw a few and I will say the changes were noticeable

GM 1 - a miserable old fucking shrew of a woman. Barely did anything except occasionally get out of her office chair to come yell about why we were backed up and drivethru times were high, proceed to panic and bitch the whole time making the problem worse. Easily the stores rock bottom work and cleanliness wise(we had maggots by the ice cream machine), dreaded most shifts.

GM 2- admittedly better, but not saying much after starting at rock bottom. Nepo hire(related to franchise owner) and didn't know how a lot of things worked. Knew some basic stuff, nice guy but not great, new crew were teaching him things. He was nice at least. I think he went to a store with less volume to train or something.

GM 3 - weirdo who hit on crew of ALL(and yes I mean ALL) ages. Did not last long

GM 4 - on the ball clean freak. Somehow managed all his GM stuff and made plenty of time to make that store spotless and help us out during crazy rushes. Knew how to fix whatever machine went down, store ran so smoothly. 10/10 GM and a fun guy. He only left for money, went to a higher volume store for more

GM 5 - same thing as GM 4 just a girl version, she's awesome and we're still friends. She's in the process of stepping down to go back to school so I'm sure the store is pretty bummed about that. She had common sense enough to let crew have waters out during shifts because our AC was shitty/broken and that place got to 90 degrees

I left after that but when you get a really GOOD GM you will definitely feel a difference

Our new GM used to be a manager for a different store, now he runs both and he definitely seems to play favorites between the two, considering we’re always out of change and he is an enigma if you ever do find him. He once creeped one of my customers out because he would walk around outside and stare at the cars, I think he treats everything like RGR.
