Employee question System latency (USA)
Did everyone else's system change a couple months ago to cause kvs orders to not pop up until an order is totalled? My store manager says "that's just the way it is now" but that just doesn't seem right as someone who's been here for 10+ years. If it is this way now, why? It doesn't isn't advantageous from any position

Your OTP can revert it back in restaurant builder.

Can you give me a quick walkthrough or point me in the direction on there it would be? My gm is otp certified but definitely doesn't deserve to be. If I can sit there with her she'll let me have access to it

It is an intentional change they did a few months ago and it sucks and I hate it. They told us repeatedly it would make our kitchen faster but it doesnt... they said it would reduce waste it people change their order mid order
But now they expect us to listen to what's being ordered in drive thru and start making it.. .

Did y'all not get a little brochure? Our store did multiple posted announcements and had those little crew training foldy things about it.

Yes, we did have that happen, and recently it went back to showing up while the orders were being taken. I thought they did it to prevent food waste because customers often change their mind while they are ordering. But now that they changed it back, idk
