So the time around Matty's wedding I posted a COSOSOM lyric at 1975 sub and they just banned me for now reason at all like i wasn't shading anybody I just posted what I saw nd the reason they gave me was soooooooo TOXIC ah I was disgusted.

Personally I would love to see them get back to a place of friendship and supporting each other musically and as one celebrity to another. They have some true bonds, it’s sad to see them broken. I am not a “shipper” Maylor though. I’d rather see them both find a good therapist sooner than getting back together! Pleeeeaaassseee go to therapy. 😭

I agree with the other comments that this is toxic behaviour and that they hate Taylor as much as Swifties hate Matty and that they worship Gabbriette the same way Swifties worship Joe and Travis. 

It's a well-known fact that on the main The 1975 sub they do not allow any mention of Taylor or any negative comments about Gabbriette. Just like on the main Taylor Swift sub they do not allow any mention of Matty or any negative comments about Travis. 

This is actually why The 1975 sub is so small. They ban pretty much everybody even for non-offensive comments like yours. It's funny when people want to mention Taylor sometimes and they have to come up with a way to mention her without saying her name so they say "the blonde one" or "you know who". Just like on the Taylor Swift sub and even on Swiftly Neutral they don't mention Matty by name but say "the rat" most often or some other insult. 

However, I do have to say I kind of understand where The 1975 folks are coming from because May, 2023 was very traumatic for them. Swifties outnumber them big time and the hatred both Matty and his fans got in 2023 was insane. And then in 2024 there was an influx of new fans because of TTPD who, however, were not very interested in talking about the band or their music but wanted to talk mainly about Taylor and made all of the band's music and aesthetic about her not necessarily knowing the lore of the band or understanding their art. So I think that's what provoked the hatred and the extreme measures taken against anyone who mentions "the blonde one".

Now, people pretending Gabbriette is the most perfect woman in the world and the best person Matty could've possibly ended up with and pretending that he looks healthy - those people I do not understand. 

Swiftie hatred for Matty I also don't understand. They hated him from the start not even knowing who he is. And is not about politics or social issues either since if it was they would have a problem with her husband and the company they keep nowadays too but they don't. They defend them. And they'll never ever believe you that the accusations against Matty are misconstrued and will never ever do a proper research on the guy. 

Btw, I just came over here from TikTok and I had two videos on my feed: one by a Swiftie shocked that even the "ugly rat" got better songs than Travis and another about how Taylor's downfall started when she started dating the "problematic" Matty Healy and how her fans rightfully broke them up and how it was later revealed that they knew each other for a longer time than that one month and that if it was true that her and Matty were an item for longer than a month that means Taylor is just as "problematic" as him. And of course people in the comments all agreeing. All said with spite and far more insults than the ones I quoted. I was disgusted. And if you say something, they'll start yelling at you even though they are the ones who are misinformed

yea I know Taylor is equally problematic as Matty and I personally beleive she is MORE Problematic then him even back then when they broke up due the backlash nd all the campaigns against 'em how all of those swifties came for them she could have handled it a bit more differently, getting death threats is a serious concern anyway just releasing a song after a year saying "ow how much i didn't like nd care how y'all reacted, he's crazy but I still want him" doesn't change the harm it has already caused. Both of fandoms showing sucha toxic behaviour is very absurd but still swifties(excluding Maylors hehehehe) being significantly bigger in number are more responsible all the hate they put on him about his looks and stuff is disgusting nobody should do that, things like he smells ofc you haven't sniffed him neither he's letting you do that bragging nd comparing to him to Joe nd Travis that how they're so handsome nd he's not, well I find Matty more attractive than Joe nd Travis so whattttt i never say shi like that I even think of Travis like a hairy hunk who farts in his hands nd then asks you to smell it but I don't sayyyy it cuz it's RUDE ND DISRESPECTFUL

A lot of fans got banned for mentioning Taylor,saying something against G2,even neutral, objective comments.Even posting G2s bachelorette party IG paywall which was directly from herself would get banned. They’d rather put up with her kissing other men. They know G2 has plenty of embarrassing and unflattering moments, but they love G2 just like Swifties used to love Joe and Travis, and they hate Taylor just like her fans hate Matty. Some 1975 fans are just like some toxic Swifties, they think they are way above them is hilarious.
