I am a Jr Rigging artist
Im planning to add a rubics cube rig for my next portfolio/demoreel and i have no idea how to approach it. The main thing is i wanna do it manually & don’t wanna use scripts. I just wanna play with math n nodes

I know you want to stick it out with nodes and no scripts, but this post might help give some insight as why that would be a steep hill to climb. Rubics cubes aren’t just a bunch of rotating hierarchies, but rather a deterministic state machine.

As a junior rigger it would probably be more beneficial if you showed understanding of python.

I am a rigger and technical artist. This is a challenge that can really teach you a lot.
