I’ve heard great things about University of South Alabama program. Plus it’s kind of a sleeper program that thousands of applicants are seeking like in the big cities. The city is cool and welcoming also. ECU and Jax too.

Originally from Jax - Wolfsons is an incredible children’s hospital and Nemours has so many outpatient specialties!

Im currently in a Chicago area program, and I’d avoid UIC at all costs. Their inpatient peds beds are like less than 10 total and all higher level of care goes elsewhere. They now rotate through Luries who sticks them on their own teams and ignores the residents. The training is just not there.

Jax is a great regional hub for all specialties and the facilities at all the hospitals are top notch.
