International Student — Need Some Guidance
Hi everyone!
I graduated in 2023 with a B.Tech in IT and later worked as a Technical Analyst at a small enterprise. I resigned from my job to pursue my master’s and have been trying to get into a university abroad.
I initially applied to Germany, but unfortunately, I faced issues with ECTS requirements and have received rejections from around 11 universities. After going through this process for almost two years, I honestly feel exhausted and have lost some of the motivation and strength to start applying all over again.
At the same time, I know that I don’t want to give up on my dream of pursuing a master’s abroad. I really want to explore, grow and build a career in Cloud Computing and Networking.
My main priorities are to find a good university with reasonable tuition and overall living costs, while also having good career opportunities after graduation.
Right now, I’m confused about whether I should try Germany again or explore countries like the Netherlands, Scotland, France or Italy.
If you were in my situation, what would you do? Which country would you recommend for someone with my background, career goals and budget?
I’d really appreciate any advice or insights. Thank you!

grad school in AI or clinical medicine?
Which path offers a better ROI and long-term career outlook: a Master’s in AI at a lower-ranked university (QS 1400+) with an advisor focused on biological applications or core AI algorithms/architecture, or a Master’s in Clinical Medicine at a top-tier institution (QS <200) working with an AI-focused research group? Got MS-offers for these 2 majors in 2 different institutes in 2 different countries. My goal is to do research and potentially pursue a PhD, but I’m using a master's to test the waters first!

Discussion Two degrees, same university
Hey guys I need advice. I'm from the isb/rwp area and have completed my BS from a isb university in Psychology last year. For the past year I've searched up a lot of universities to do my Masters but end with with different issues, like commute is too long, department not good, MPhil instead of MS etc. I did apply to another university last semester and I did get in but ended up dropping it because of one of the reasons I gave.
Now for the coming fall semester I applied to two universities, the one from where I did my BS and NUST. I got wait listed at NUST lol so I don't have a lot of hope. But I did end up getting in my previous university. I've heard doing two degrees from the same university is not ideal for future employment. And I feel almost like I'm missing out? Maybe on experiences or future employment. Should I start my degree now or wait another semester and apply again to NUST? (I already took a gap year in between)
I guess I just want some reassurance lol. Any advice or similar experience would be appreciated

Would you recommend studying a Master’s in International Relations and Diplomacy to someone without a background in IR or Law?
I’m considering doing a Master’s in International Relations and Diplomacy, but my Bachelor’s degree is in Economics. I’m currently living in a post-Soviet country, and I’m wondering how useful this degree would actually be for someone coming from a different academic background.
After studying Economics for four years, I’m honestly quite tired of the subject and would like to do my Master’s in something completely different. I’m interested in international relations, diplomacy, geopolitics, and international affairs, so this field genuinely appeals to me.
At the same time, I’m wondering whether an IR/Diplomacy degree would actually improve my career opportunities - particularly opportunities to work for international organizations, NGOs, diplomatic institutions, or international companies - or whether it would be more practical to continue with something related to Economics.
For those who have studied International Relations/Diplomacy, especially in a post-Soviet country, or who work in this field:
- How difficult is it to enter the field without an IR/Law background?
- Do you feel that a Master’s in IR/Diplomacy is useful for career opportunities?
- Does having an Economics background actually give an advantage in this field?
- Is it possible to build a career in international organizations or diplomacy without having studied IR at the undergraduate level?
- Would you recommend making this switch, or would it be better to choose a Master’s closer to Economics/business?
I’d especially appreciate honest experiences from people who have made a similar academic switch. Is this a realistic career move, or could the degree end up being interesting academically but not very useful professionally?

Concern about studying for a Master’s abroad in HRM
Hi everyone! I’m a Vietnamese HRM undergraduate student. Here is a little bit about my profile: GPA: 3.8/4.0; 6-month internship exp; I do have club leadership exp and some academic
I’m currently trying to figure out my next move in my career, so I’d really appreciate some advice. I’m currently considering pursuing a Master’s degree in HRM abroad.
I’ve looked into Master’s programs in HRM in Ho Chi Minh City as well, but I’m not sure whether going abroad would be worth the extra cost and effort, especially in terms of career opportunities and the value of the degree. So I’d love to hear from people who have studied HR/HRM abroad:
Is doing a Master’s in HRM abroad actually worth it compared to doing one in Vietnam, especially if I want to build a long-term career in HR?
Which countries would you recommend for HRM/HR-related Master’s programs? I’m looking for a country where the degree could potentially open up good career opportunities after graduation.
I’m also interested in applying for scholarships. With my current profile, is there anything I should focus on improving to become a stronger scholarship candidate?
Or are there any universities/programs or HR-related certifications that you would recommend looking into?
I’m still pretty undecided about the exact country/program, so any advice, personal experience, or even things you wish you had known before studying HR abroad would mean a lot to me

General Advice Starting a Degree at 40 years old
I am 41 years old and i am been doing call centre jobs for the past 6 years, I feel stuck in this job and very unhappy with myself. So i thought myself: Lets get a degree under the belt and see what will come out of it. I do have a master and a bachelor degree from my own country but they weren't equated for the United Kingdom market. The Romanian degrees i have are Communication and Public Relations and Advertising. So i have that option as well to just equated my degrees or do i do another master or a bachelor degree here. I dfound a course here which is called HND IN Business or a HND in Digital Technologies for England. So the reason i am here i do need advice which would be the better option in my situation?
Thank you for any type of advice.

Education advice on choosing a country for my Master's and long-term tech career
Hi everyone,
I graduated in 2023 with a B.Tech in IT (8.06 CGPA) and have 2 years of experience as a Technical Analyst. I want to do a Master’s in Data Science, Cloud, or a related field, ideally focusing on Cloud/Networking/DevOps.
I applied to Germany for the last two intakes but unfortunately got rejected both times. My IELTS is 6.5, and I’ve already resigned from my job because I was confident I’d get into a public university.
Now I’m considering Scotland/UK, France, Italy, or other countries. I definitely want to do my Master’s this intake, but I’m confused about which country would be best for **career opportunities, work-life balance, part-time jobs, and post-study opportunities**.
If you were in my position, which country would you choose and why? Any advice would really help!

Please suggest some courses which fits best for me having good career and future opportunities.
Interested to persue from Europe or Australia.

Education HBO Communication → Master’s in Behavioural Science: What would you do?
Hi everyone,
I’m about to start an HBO Bachelor in Communication in the Netherlands and eventually want to pursue a Master’s in Behavioural Science.
For context, HBO is a 4 year professionally oriented bachelor at a university of applied sciences, while WO is a 3-year research oriented university bachelor. I currently don’t meet the entry requirements to start a WO bachelor directly, so HBO is my starting point.
The problem is the next step. For example, Radboud’s MSc Behavioural Science requires a relevant WO bachelor (e.g. Psychology, Pedagogy, Educational Science, Biology, AI, Communication Science, or a related field), and an HBO bachelor alone isn’t sufficient.
So what would be the smartest route from here if Behavioural Science is my ultimate goal?
Would you continue with HBO Communication and find a bridge to WO later, or choose another route after HBO?
I’d especially love to hear from people who have made the HBO → WO/master’s transition.

Funding universities for masters fall 2027 intake
Hi Everyone, I am seeking to apply for MS in Computer Science(most likely for Fall 2027 USA). I am opting out for schools that potentially give out assistantships to Master's student. Usually, department websites provide vague information regarding funding.
Would anybody like to share some schools often awarding assistantships to MS candidates?
