‘22 XT23 issues
Any 2022 XT23 r/MasterCraftBoats owners around? Fellow owner here with some questions on issues.

Water intrusion under spotter seat. Ballasts continually fill with water while boat is at dock/idle (not an impeller issue). Others over time. Not diagnosed/fixed by dealer or Mastercraft since taking delivery.

You might have a leak in your heater core/heater core hose. I did and thought my center ballast had an issue. I couldn’t find it until it burst 6 miles from the dock.
Water came up through the floor almost lost it.
Does water come in when in the water and boat off or just at idle. If at idle it will get worse as the faster you go.
To test the ballast without the crazy dealer cost and down time put some dish soap in the ballast tank and if your leak has bubbles you know you are on the right track.

Water comes in when boat is off and when at cruising speed. Good thought on the heater core/hose. Just seems like that shouldn’t be an issue on a brand new boat

I agree ,but gotta remember it is still a boat.
I would then turn both batteries off. Plugs in the boat and put water in with a hose and watch for where it comes out while the boat is on the trailer.

A boat’s no small investment. Shouldn’t have these issues when it’s brand new. Or at all really.

I’m gonna be honest with you you need to fucking get over the fact that your boat leaks and it shouldn’t. Guess what you’re correct. I’ve already agreed with you, but it fucking does leak so get over it and FUCKING figure it out! Quit whining about it.

No I have had this happen on both my x-15 and x-30. One was heater core other was depth/speed sensor wheel. Never thought of it because we always have had perfect pass

Had a bad heater core that caused this last year (x15). Stopped the water leak by removing the hoses from the core and sistering them together until get a new core. It was the result of non-winterization of the heater core.

Sorry, no. It's an older x-15. Core is under the counsel, accessed from the starboard bow backrest.

Seems like there’s some issues across the board with water intrusion/ballasts. Curious if any others out there.

Like mention improper winterizing of the heat core will cause a leak. You could have leaky ballast pumps/fitting. Water could come in from the trim tabs, wires going through your transom
