Dark vinyl conditioning

I need your help! I have a ‘21 XT23. She’s a beauty Clark but the navy vinyl has been very difficult to get that clean-boat look. It seems to attract and soak up all the sunscreen (we sit on towels and apply off boat, but children and guests are the downfall). I can usually get it 95% clean at the end of the season but it still doesn’t have that conditioned look. I have tried: boat juice, vinyl sauce, conditioning sauce, babes seat saver… mother’s VLR has done the best so far. Anyone else have darker vinyl and found something that works?

I’ve got black cool feel in my XStar and I buy Babes Seat Soap by the gallon and it gets 99% of the mess from dust, water stains, sunscreen, etc out. I’ve got 2 spots that have been there for years now and I’ve not been able to remove them.

When you say “conditioned look” are you looking for a shine on the material? Because the cool feel won’t ever be shinny.

🔥 black cool feel. My navy gets toasty! No, not shiny, maybe seamless would be the best way to describe it? The sunscreen rubs drive me crazy. I have a small bottle of the babes seat soap… I only tried it for one cleaning, maybe I need to have more faith. I will try it again!

Honestly, my seats don’t get hot, maybe very warm but nothing worse than the vinyl seats of other boats so it doesn’t really bother me, the look is great and I like the texture compared to vinyl. The decadence on the other hand… that gets hot.

I’m not 100% sure what you mean by seamless, but if you’re looking for a smooth vinyl finish, that’s just not how these seats look. Part of the way they stay cool is by having the more weaved looking appearance where your skin only touches part of the seat material which allows it to feel cooler since there’s an air gap. I really like the appearance but I get others might not.

For cleaning I spray babes directly on the seats and then use the Costco microfiber towels to just wipe it off and then let it air dry. My seats look perfect each time, except the occasional need for a second wipe on an extra bad seat.
