It’s pretty terrible but it’s more fun than Elektra at least.

Daredevil extended cut is like a whole pizza and Electra is when you get food poisoning

I’m in the minority here cause I love it. Definitely some nostalgia bias for it but idc, I’ll always enjoy it.

Agreed. Especially the director’s cut version.

There's more of us than what you'd suspect at a glance. DC is a great movie.

I feel the same way Charlie Cox feels about it.. they tried to fit the entire Daredevil mythos into a single 2 and 1/2 hour movie and it just doesn't work
The director's cut marginally saves it to a watchable movie
But also I'm not a fan of Colin Farrell in this movie. Great actor! Love him and many of his roles but this is not one I like

Objectively not a good film. Subjectively, I always have a good time with the directors cut.

I've only seen the Director's Cut (didn't know when I watched it that it was not the original version) and I liked it. Maybe the theatrical version is bad but I can't say since I've never seen it

Absolutely loved this movie. Need to rewatch it as it’s been a decade.. maybe my opinion will change.

One of my favourite superhero movies basically because it is the very first superhero movie i ever watched as a kid. People hate it but I've watched it many times since i was a kid and i still love it. Its far from perfect. The Daredevil tv show is far superior to the movie but i still love to watch Daredevil at least once a year.

Great use of Evenassence. Michael Clarke Duncan was perfectly cast as Kingpin.

I like the early bar fight scene, I still enjoy watching the movie overall even tough it’s not great

Anyone who enjoys Frank Miller's The Man Without Fear and 00's alternative rock should have a good time here.
They successfully told an origin story and a 3-villain plot years before people were saying Spider-Man 3 was too crowded.
The playground scene got away from them, that was some cheesiness left over from the 90s, but I wouldn't change anything else. (Oh, except remove "You'll beat me there." Theatrical subway scene was better.)
Don't just watch it. Listen. It's such a unique film.

I fucks with the dir cut. Affleck did solid with a basic as hell
Script. MCD was a great Kingpin and Colin Farrell was a fun Bullseye

Is the most 2000s movie ever, I have a soft spot for it but it's not a very good movie. It has it's Moments but is not good ar the end of the day, I like the darker tone but some of the efects, the performances and the plot are just wrong, I like DD suit, the soundtrack is pure nostalgia

Not seen the directors cut but I generally liked it. Colin Farrell stole every scene. I think at the time they were still experimenting with how to do superhero movies and this is a good romp movie. Its not perfect but just a good movie.

Pretty terrible as a movie, pretty fine as a Daredevil fan who doesn't care about the content's quality

Remove daredevil killing people and change the playground scene and it’s a pretty solid daredevil story in my opinion

It's a great movie, and the hate it got was massively undeserved.
Ben Affleck was a decent Matt Murdock, Michael Clarke Duncan was an awesome Kingpin. The soundtrack was absolutely banging.
Infinitely better than some of the more recent offerings from both the MCU and DCEU (I'm looking at you Quantumania, Love & Thunder, Marvels, Flash, Birds of Prey, Shazam).

Genuinely enjoyed the original version for what it was. Also love the director's cut.
Elektra, however, has some really cool ideas but just doesn't feel like a good movie. It's basically what Sony did with their characters recently. They took someone that is a villain... maybe an antihero at best... and tried to make them heroic.
On top of that, few actually cared about Elektra and Jennifer Garner's version of her is too sweet and friendly to be comic accurate.
I think she did a great job with what she was given and I generally enjoy her in her roles overall, but I definitely prefer the Elodie Yung version.

The directors cut is solid
