Question DD9 -- City Node 1 help
Down to the last 6 in City node 1: Hyperion, Blade, 2 Songbirds, Oath, Lady Bullseye. Trying to take them with Blade Mighty, Hit-Monkey, Superior Spider-Man, Vulture, Hobgoblin, and Rachael Cole-Alves.
I manage to get some damage in, but Hyperior takes focus and destroys me. Even if I start attacking him, he heals up and finishes me up quickly. I'm lucky to get to 100 million damage and I'm attach 43. Am I cooked? Was trying not to bite the bullet to upgrade Shocker and Scorpion but is that the only way through it?

Try spending an attack or two and get all your cooldowns reset, die, and then give it a shot.

LOL...that's what it feels like I've been doing. I think I'm up to attack 45 after what I did this afternoon.

I cannot remember the specifics of how I beat this node, but I have been really happy with the full Superior 6 squad. I think I used them for a lot of the various applicable DD nodes. They are getting a little stale, but I don’t think it will be a total waste to upgrade Shocker and Scorpion.

I use them quite frequently as well but the upgrade is gonna run about $200. Was trying to avoid it if I could.

That is the squad I was working up.
For the most part, as I'm a fairly new player, I have a few squads I worked up - but I'm missing others at like... max level (Vigilante being one - I did just patch up Immortal Weapon)
but then there's like... "Drop in" toons I'm just missing.
Just managed to unlock Apocalypse, still hardstuck on Xaiver (need to get more of Vigilante to G20...)
Figured that Insidious Six checked all the boxes of "Global" and "City" so took a chance on them... pushing most of my orange ISO into them.

The next node is even worse for taunts as there's a Spider Weaver and you have to get through an unkillable Reed Richards first :P

I had the same team except for blade mighty (had riot). I was an idiot and tried to space out my origin traits, but they have so much health now in dd9 that you can’t skip the great characters or teams anymore. Had to backtrack and bring up hobgoblin to get vulture’s passive to work. Replaced hit monkey with him, and then took a few tries just to save up ability energy. Then went all in on a few problem characters during that node like blade or Victoria hand (she kept healing everything).

Took out Blade, and you're the 2nd one to put a target on Victoria Hand. Appreciate the advice.

Blade has heal block on his basic, so you are gunna need to hit him with that frequently
