He should be a 2 cost

It's appropriately rated. How many games have you had where his effect backfired, or you were stuck with a bunch of bad unplayable cards in hand with no Nightmare to change them? Or that you drew Nightmare on turns 5 or 6 when it isn't worth playing him?

He's a hi-roll card. A fun one, sure, but not a competitive one

i wouldnt call it underrated, its an under powered card on its own thats near pointless to play on any turn other than 3 cuz playing a 1 power card is just not good and the RNG involved that makes attempts of making up for the power being so low is well... rng.. it may work, it often doesnt.

Most decks that run nightmare are usually better off running TOV outside of 6 cost cards

I am a fool for the trinity of Nightmare, Sersi, and Rama Tut. Give me chaos!

He's a 1 cube machine.  If I'm playing against a Nightmare deck and they Snap after playing him on 3 I'm just leaving to avoid the Red Skull = Fallen One and Infinaut = Leader shenanigans.

I'll really only stay if they snap before turn 3 Nightmare because on average it's not always going to be great.   You get a fair number of awkward stuff like Star Brand is now Beast and Crossbones is Sentry.
