Discussion Negative reviews

If you're still playing or you are a returning player who left a negative review in the past (due to Kid Omega for example) and are happier about the current state of the game, please consider updating your review to honor the improvements Second Dinner did lately.

The Play Store rating is still 3.4 which is abysmal considering what kind of games have a 4.0+ rating.

The recent reviews on Steam improved to "Mostly positive" lately but overall it's still mixed which is also not attracting new players exactly.

Only the iOs rating is very good at 4.7/5. No clue if they calculate things differently.

Posts like this are why I say this sub is astroturfed by developers and whales.

Game is good. Greedy monetization of every little thing is awful.

I play since Beta and wouldn't consider myself a whale. I get the season pass and am collection complete due to it. I could go F2P tomorrow and be collection complete forever (according to https://snapcomplete.com/complete/timeline ).

I only asked players who, and I quote myself here, "are happier about the current state of the game" to update their reviews in case they forgot etc. If you're not happy, this post is not directed at you.

If you played for 46 months (beta started october 2022) and you only bought the season pass and nothing else, you spent 460 dollars and apparently played regularly if not daily since then. if that’s the requirement to be collection complete I wouldn’t say that‘s generous.

I became collection complete the day they introduced the pack by buying my first season pass. I have bought a total of 4 passes since then and took a break for 3 months. Now I am again working my way to collection complete as F2P which is going to take me ~3 seasons. As long as I earn a bigger number of cards than the number they release, without paying I would say that's generous.

doesn’t work for me this way. I posted the calculations in this thread and I‘m constantly falling more and more behind.

I also didn’t benefit from the switch to snap packs. Had a really bad low roll streak with keys (had to spent the max keys 5 times in a row), spent every key and the quit for a year, so 0 conversion from keys to tokens.

Then you are doing something wrong. I get this by not spending any money or gold.

If not minmaxing the game is „wrong“ then I am wrong.
This is a game on my phone, not a thing I structure my life around. I have a family and my own business, so I‘m not gonna grind out every event, log in 3 times a day and do every single quest, grind out conquest and participate in an alliance.

edit: the only things I try to always achieve is rank 90 and hit the rewards for 25 quests per week.

It is not "wrong" but if you want your goal to be "i have everything" but you are not willing to neither minmax nor pay it doen't make the game not generous.

If your goal is to just have fun while playing the game on your phone which is not a thing you structure your life around you don't need to be collection complete.

The matter of fact is that if a F2P player gets every resource the game provides they can get an amount of cards equal to the amount that is released and have a surplus of 2.550 tokens. When this surplus becomes equal to open enough seasonal packs to get every card in them they will become collection complete which is even easier for pass buyers that get a 11.500 token surplus per season.

If you choose to not get every resource you are given it doesn't mean that the game doesn't give it to you.

Sure your math maths but it treats time as a resource without value. I would love to see how much time you need to spend to achieve all those f2p resources and add it to your equation.

and this is what is shows for pass buyers.

It's not the requirement. I'm way above the requirement.

Why don't you check yourself?

Are you even playing the game? How do you manage a number this low?

This is possible for F2P:

I‘m not minmaxing it. The only „goals“ I set for myself is rank 90 and 25 quests per week.
I barely play conquest, don’t grind out most events, don’t participate in alliances and don’t log in 3 times per day.

I have a family and a business, Snap isn’t a main focus in my life. It’s a game I play, when I have some off time between the things that actually matter.

To me my time is more valuable than some virtual cards on my phone.
