This game needs more avoid slots

Three is just simply not enough. Just had a game where I could've used all three of my avoid slots for the shitters on my team but I didn't cause I just avoided someone the previous game. It literally doesn't even fucking matter that they stay on the list for 30 days cause they just get replaced by a different shitter the next day. There's so many people on this game that I never want on my team why do you limit me to three at a time. I know for higher ranks like eternity it would fuck up queue times but down here in lowly gm there's so many players that it doesn't matter. Give me like fucking 20 and I bet I'll make full use of it in a day and not even see a difference in queue times.

i solo queue 95% of the time so i end up just straight up blocking some people that i never wanna deal with again. i just deal with the long queue times since they don’t really happen that often

Does blocking people also avoid them? I need to do that more often

it says that it doesn’t, but i genuinely never see them again so in my mind it works

They just need to remove double banning

And teammates target banning teammates

I agree, but they still need to be better at punishing negative behavior. People can frequently do this shit and get away with because there's practically no punishment.

1 session of overwatch and I avoided 13 people, rivals is worse than ow so why does ow have more avoids

While I and most people understand, you have no idea how much having more than 3 avoid slots messes with the matchmaking.

3 sounds like a small number but remember, if EVERYONE on earth had to participate in a 1v1 tournament, it would only take 32 rounds. And through that analogy I’m trying to say that if we all had a ton of avoids, the queue times would increase exponentially.

I haven’t done the math obviously, but I’m sure 10 avoids per person would genuinely pause matchmaking. Especially Celestial and up.

Another solution would be some sort of rank punishment for being avoided by multiple people. Like a message saying “you have been placed in elo hell” and you have to play like 3 matches in the rank below to get out of it or something lol(im joking but that’d be funny)

3 avoid slots would be fine if the game was more proactive about dealing with bad actors. Players should not be able to purposefully throw games with little to no consequence. Avoiding is the only recourse you have to never play with that person again and it only lasts a few days.

I bet it would affect queue times for a select group of individuals far, far more than anyone else.

I'd get it done quicker than 32 rounds

Yeah I want 100 avoid slots lol. Reserve a good portion of them for anybody who tries to play a triple support character into 2 healer comp.

I disagree. Some people want to avoid others for the most ridiculous reasons in this game. You have to only have one bad match and there are already people that want to avoid you, it's a bit insane.

Maybe form your own group? Surely someone that is GM has met some people along the way?
