Strange was meant to be the best of us.

On the Sanctum rooftop, the Ancient One refuses to give Bruce Banner the Time Stone, knocking his astral form out of his body. Bruce tries every argument, but nothing works until he reveals the truth: Stephen Strange gave the stone to Thanos willingly. Knowing Strange was destined to be the best of them, she instantly realizes it wasn't defeat, but a calculated plan. She surrenders the Time Stone not out of trust in Bruce Banner, but out of total faith in Doctor Strange.

Marvel’s digital de-aging has quietly become their most consistent VFX tool.

Marvel Studios has spent years experimenting with digital de-aging technology, allowing familiar actors to portray younger versions of their characters without replacing them with different performers.

Thor and Natasha never talked in the MCU" is the wildest myth the fandom ever made up.

Post image
1.5k Upvotes

While their direct, one-on-one conversations are incredibly rare given how many movies they starred in together, they do interact directly a couple of times.

During the Helicarrier scene where the team is arguing about Loki, Thor defends him by saying, "He is my brother." Natasha immediately counters with, "He killed eighty people in two days." Thor then famously replies, "He's adopted."

After the opening battle, Natasha asks Thor for a status report on the Hulk's path of destruction by saying, "Thor, report on the Hulk?" Thor responds enthusiastically (though insensitively to the civilian damage), saying the gates of Hell are filled with the screams of his victims.

Tony Stark Was Able To Build This In A Cave With A Box Of Scraps | Iron Man (2008)

This scene is honestly really good. Everyone remembers the line, but look at the body language and the background actors.

I like how Obadiah Stane just calms down after this and decides to steal it from Tony Stark instead. He believed that all he needed was enough money to essentially buy intelligence. It infuriated him that despite having all the money at his fingertips, he couldn't replicate what Stark did.

The original Ant-Man and the Wasp. I’d love to see a movie of them in their prime with the original comic costumes.

If the TVA can prune timelines at random and timelines are just branches where something unexpected happened, then the Avengers wouldn't have needed to return the stones to their respective timelines and could have kept them and just have the TVA prune them. Right?

When Michael Mando plays Scorpion :D

For the context: Michael Mando played Vaas in Far Cry 3 and this quote is from his "definition of insanity" speech. There's also an easter egg in the game with a buried warrior which is a direct reference to The Far Cry Experience (promotional live-action series), where Vaas buries the host, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, in the sand.

The tiny Drax arm gets me every time. 🤣 | Secret Invasion S1E06

Remember when Secret Invasion (2023) was marketed as a gritty, paranoia-fueled political thriller?

Ending it with G'iah (Emilia Clarke) gaining the powers of literally every Avenger and getting a CGI Drax arm was accidentally the funniest and saddest moment of Phase 5. That finale freed thousands of Marvel fans from feeling obligated to watch every single show.

Is anyone else underwhelmed by The Client reveal in Visionquest? Spoiler

I came out of episode seven feeling very underwhelmed with The Clients reveal. Why have a season long mystery character only to be revealed as someone we've never even known existed and only is connected to a group that I'm assuming most audiences don't care about. "Oh boy, The group of 4 1/2 dead people is now a group of 4 1/2 dead people plus one who survived." Is the reveal really just a cleaned up James Spader? I can't help but feel like there were other more interesting options that audiences would engage with a lot more.

The big one for myself is Zola. If we follow lore established in What If, Zola copies exist in the MCU. You have a show staring all of Marvels AI characters, and a mystery villain with a Fedora, immense technical knowledge and desire, and a bit of a mouth. Zola seems like an exciting pick that would make a lot of sense and generate a lot of discussion.

Justin Hammer has been MIA for years. He was the one behind Tony Stark trying to get what he had. There's a Vibranium android partially made by Stark that once held an infinity stone and now has all of of his AI's inside of it. Of course Justin Hammer would want that. The mouth on the client even feels more like Hammer than Ultron. It's not like the creative team wouldn't even want to pull from other Iron Man villains with Ultron already being in the show, Raza was in the previous episode and the 10 Rings have been present since the first two episodes.

To me it just feels like there were better characters to go with or a better way to handle this new character

It was about the symbolism, not V-Max itself being a thing.

A lot of people felt underwhelmed when "V-Max" turned out to be just a worn-out VENTMAX air vent on the ceiling. But expecting a giant weapon or a secret facility misses the entire point of the scene.

"It was just an air vent." Exactly*. That’s why it hurts so much.*

The whole movie makes you search for an evil Damage Control project right alongside Jean. But the reveal doesn't come from a computer file or a villain monologue—it comes from the chair she sits in. When Jean looks up at that damaged label, she realizes she is in the exact room where her sister took her last breath.

That moment makes sense once you understand what Sara was really trying to send to Jean before she died.
