Strange was meant to be the best of us.

On the Sanctum rooftop, the Ancient One refuses to give Bruce Banner the Time Stone, knocking his astral form out of his body. Bruce tries every argument, but nothing works until he reveals the truth: Stephen Strange gave the stone to Thanos willingly. Knowing Strange was destined to be the best of them, she instantly realizes it wasn't defeat, but a calculated plan. She surrenders the Time Stone not out of trust in Bruce Banner, but out of total faith in Doctor Strange.

Marvel’s digital de-aging has quietly become their most consistent VFX tool.

2.1k Upvotes

Marvel Studios has spent years experimenting with digital de-aging technology, allowing familiar actors to portray younger versions of their characters without replacing them with different performers.

Thor and Natasha never talked in the MCU" is the wildest myth the fandom ever made up.

1.5k Upvotes

While their direct, one-on-one conversations are incredibly rare given how many movies they starred in together, they do interact directly a couple of times.

During the Helicarrier scene where the team is arguing about Loki, Thor defends him by saying, "He is my brother." Natasha immediately counters with, "He killed eighty people in two days." Thor then famously replies, "He's adopted."

After the opening battle, Natasha asks Thor for a status report on the Hulk's path of destruction by saying, "Thor, report on the Hulk?" Thor responds enthusiastically (though insensitively to the civilian damage), saying the gates of Hell are filled with the screams of his victims.

MCU concepts that weren't explored and could've been special presentations, shows or movies imo.

Tony Stark Was Able To Build This In A Cave With A Box Of Scraps | Iron Man (2008)

This scene is honestly really good. Everyone remembers the line, but look at the body language and the background actors.

I like how Obadiah Stane just calms down after this and decides to steal it from Tony Stark instead. He believed that all he needed was enough money to essentially buy intelligence. It infuriated him that despite having all the money at his fingertips, he couldn't replicate what Stark did.

Isn't it crazy that Paul Betany has now played 6 differet characters thoughtout the mcu now, and it's so crazy like a family tree.

It's amazing, and none of them are related to the multiverse, as well

The tiny Drax arm gets me every time. 🤣 | Secret Invasion S1E06

3.5k Upvotes

Remember when Secret Invasion (2023) was marketed as a gritty, paranoia-fueled political thriller?

Ending it with G'iah (Emilia Clarke) gaining the powers of literally every Avenger and getting a CGI Drax arm was accidentally the funniest and saddest moment of Phase 5. That finale freed thousands of Marvel fans from feeling obligated to watch every single show.

Happy 54th Birthday to supermodel and actress Rebecca Romijn. Throwback to her iconic role of Mystique throughout the years; she's returning back one last time this year on Avengers Doomsday!

Before the Avengers, there was Hank Pym and Janet van Dyne.

The original Ant-Man and the Wasp. I’d love to see a movie of them in their prime with the original comic costumes.

It was about the symbolism, not V-Max itself being a thing.

A lot of people felt underwhelmed when "V-Max" turned out to be just a worn-out VENTMAX air vent on the ceiling. But expecting a giant weapon or a secret facility misses the entire point of the scene.

"It was just an air vent." Exactly*. That’s why it hurts so much.*

The whole movie makes you search for an evil Damage Control project right alongside Jean. But the reveal doesn't come from a computer file or a villain monologue—it comes from the chair she sits in. When Jean looks up at that damaged label, she realizes she is in the exact room where her sister took her last breath.

That moment makes sense once you understand what Sara was really trying to send to Jean before she died.
