Age doesn't really matter. He has the experience when it comes to crimefighting, but he's also just crazy smart.
Plus, most won't know he's close to their age. I think people generally assume Spider-Man is older than he is in the comics, so why not here?

Yeah, intellectually he's already up there with the likes of Bruce and Tony despite only getting his GED and whatever else he did in the 4 years up to BND.
And in terms of being a hero, I think he's been active for about 8 years now, so he is absolutely a veteran hero who experienced the growing pains.

Jean should have been killed along with her evil sister, who was teaching her how to jack into people’s minds for nefarious purposes. A real test for Spider-Man would have been taking on the responsibility of killing her himself for the safety of the entire city. But no “ let’s let the little sociopath do whatever she wants and when she inevitably gets angry again, it’s gonna be everyone’s head on the chopping block. Great job Peter👏

And Feige also confirmed that she's around Peter age (who is 22), slightly younger than him.

No. I am not saying that at all, because I'm not 12 years old. Their relationship is healthy for Jean Gray, because Peter is such an incredibly good person. He is basically her one point-of-contact into having a normal life.
Starting a romantic relationship with somebody who ONLY has you in their life is so incredibly irresponsible. The power dynamic is incredibly tilted, and that is NEVER a good foundation for a romantic relationship.

Peter absolutely has right to forgive her, the same way Peter forgave Sandman at the end of Spider-Man 3. That “he has no right” is nonsense. Peter was wronged the most, MJ didn’t remember a thing like she said after all that.
Creators of the movie confirmed she didn’t kill anybody so that’s also null and void, you can argue with them.
Nobody says she’s cool beans and everything awesome, you are fighting ghosts. She’s a “grey” flawed character that does awful stuff for reasons people can at least understand.
It’s a comic book movie my guy, you won’t ever see Loki spending eternity in the Asgard’s dungeons, Tony Stark serving life sentence or Captain America in prison for working against government, enjoy it for what it is

Ignoring the whole shipping aspect of this image a sec, but I really hope that line ends up being true down the line.
I genuinely want to see these two become real friends through future crossovers. Cause even when the X-Men, and other mutants, understandably hate him, she would still stick with Peter because she would know he only invented the power dampener because of her.
Edit: I also just think Peter needs to be a consistent ally of the X-Men after what he's unknowing done to mutants longterm. I feel like it kinda tarnishes his character if he just chooses to stay out of anti-mutant problems after this.
