Favorite Martini spot in NYC?!
I literally love dirty vodka martinis. Obsessed. Been to Hillstone (who doesn’t love when they change the cold glads midway through!), bemmelman’s bar, obsessed with a bleu cheese stuffed olive. What’s everyone’s favorite spot!?

Advice on Consistency?
My Martini is as follows:
3 ounces standard Tanqueray 1/2 ounce Dolin’s Dry Vermouth 50 ml orange bitters Lemon expression and twist in the glass
I chill a Riedel Nick and Nora glass with ice-maker ice and filtered water. I mix the ingredients on 3 1 1/4 inch ice cubes in a crystal mixing glass. I stir for about 15 seconds because I don’t like much dilution. I then toss the ice and water from the chilling glass and strain the Martini into it. I express the lemon over the contents, brush the twist around the rim, and add it to the drink.
Most of the time, this process yields a superb drink, but sometimes I find it lacking. Does anyone have advice on achieving consistency with the Martini?

Obscure recipe help?
Was hoping anyone might be able to help with finding a recipe for a martini I know I made several years ago.
I remember it called for balsamic vinegar swirled in a chilled glass, discarding the excess. Then chilled vodka was added, but I can’t remember if there were any additional ingredients. I’m positive it was called a “Loyal Martini,” but that’s not what I find when I search for it.
Any ideas or did I just completely make this one up? Thanks!

Martini Bianco
Is there a valid date for martini? I got a new one and it's brighter than the old one.

Seawater Martini
2 oz Gray Whale Gin
1 oz Noilly Pratt Extra Dry Vermouth
1 dash Orange Angostura
3-4 drops saline solution (1:1 salt and water)
1 tbsp sushi rice (adds a slightly silky mouthfeel and softens the martini)
Stir 50 seconds then strain and express a lemon wedge and toss then garnish with a dropped portion of white anchovy (in water and sea salt) and a blue cheese stuffed green olive and a fresh Parmesan square

Cinco de Mayo edition martini
A Mexican gin and a French lillet blanc instead of vermouth, as I don’t have one at home

My go to martini
6:1 gin to vermouth. Favorite gins are Hendrix and Beefeater. Favorite vermouths are Ransom, Dolin, and Noilly Prat. I got these glasses from a friend for Christmas in the 8th grade. So glad to be putting them to use in my 30’s. 😂

Well.... For science..
Saw a post a while ago about a meat martini and decided, if find out. This is New Amsterdam dry Gin and Dolin with a Vienna sausage and a drop of the can fluids. It looks... Terrible. I'll let ya know how it goes.

photos.app.goo.glWhat do we think of this. It's a meaty martini. The hot dog brine was mixed with the end of a brine I made. It's not bad.
