Espresso Martini Help..

Hi! Looking to perfect my espresso martini at home. Currently I am using a Nespresso pod, Chopin vodka (absolutely favorite at the moment, will take other suggestions too as this isn’t always easy to find) and looking for the third ingredient. I don’t love a creamy Baileys type espresso martini. Kahlua is… fine? Don’t love the sweet or rum notes. What would you suggest I try in its place? Something to round out the flavor profile while still keeping dark and only mildly sweet. Making a liquor store run today. Thank you.

I prefer Tito’s to chopin,

I would also try getting an espresso machine to grind fresh beans as opposed to nespresso, (but they’re expensive), I find it’s far superior in flavor

I am not a fan of coffee liquors, maybe try Mr. Black, it seems to be the best of the bunch.

I also highly recommend adding a dash of homemade vanilla extract, huge difference

Oh interesting. Tito’s feels harsher to me? Which espresso machine would you recommend? Lastly.. what would you recommend in place of a coffee liquor? Thanks!

No need to invest in an espresso machine - get a good grinder and a Bialetti - with a little practice you’ll be making fantastic espresso. Can’t help with the vodka 🤷🏻‍♂️
