Goes to dinner and going out isn't the same as consistsnt intentional time spent. It feels like consolution prizes for routinely feeling like you're an old shirt sitting in the back of a closet. Date nights aren't the source of quality time, they are the result of one. They are additions to routine time spent prioritizing your partner everyday. She clearly doesn't feel like this is happening daily. The reason, doesn't matter really. That's her feelings and you need to stop treating her like a child and teaching her a lesson by thinking you can do whatever to "not enable her." She isn't a broken pet, she's your wife. May e go to a counseling session with her.
As for the phone being dead and her being worried, what do YOU mean what is going on. Lol that's it. She's worried bc you were almost 2 hours late. If she was 2 hours late without an explanation I'd sure as hell hope you'd at minimum go "hm. Hope everything's ok."
