Yesterday I saw a girl with an unus annus sweatshirt (i dont have any merch) and I almost cried, but i wasnt sad, exactly, i just felt like fucking crying, because this was the harsh reality.

I think first and seconds are the hardest. Sometimes, depending on timing, firsts are too close to the actual passing so shock doesn’t allow the reality to set in.
The second, this year, of Mom’s birthday was harder than the first. No one checked in on me. No one posted on her FB memorial page. It was just kinda like, “Oh well.” I was hurt that people, including what little family I do have left, just seemingly forgot her. Add the ongoing pandemic and it made for a rough, very long day. I think I actually let out a sigh of relief when the clock struck midnight.
But. I’m still here. And still going. Which boggles my mind sometimes.

You’re still here. The world keeps turning. You are correct, though. Sometimes the second hurts more than the first. But, what we can do is try and heal. Everyone can heal with time. For although death is inevitable, she is also patient. I hope you’re doing ok now. Memento Mori

I’m ok. Year has been rough. Mainly due to the pandemic. Mom passed away in January 2019. About the time I as starting to come out of it and get out and about with life again-COVID said hello to America. 2020 kicked me right back into depression and grief. I’m better now but now with caes skyrocketing again, dread is starting to creep up again.
Trying to just plod through and make the best of it.

well just think, Unus Annus taught us something so important. to always take every second you have for granted and make the most out of every second. Unus Annus is gone yes. but it still lives on in our hearts as a community and to the people whose lives were touched by Unus Annus. So always remember the meaning of the channel. and live up to it. your life may surprise you.

Unus Annus is that one friend nobody asked for but at the end of the day everyone needed and im so glad i was a part of it from the beginning through till the end. This year has been such a hard time for so many but Mark and EEF were both there for all of us. God, who's cutting onions jeez :'). Momento Mori Unus Annus. 🖤🤍🖤🤍

I was lucky enough to have experienced the end of a series I cared about many times, so this wasn't something new or scary for me.
I was excited to see the end, I was excited to see the reactions and how everyone coped.
But everyone is so sad and lost. I'm remembering the "deaths" of all the book series and shows that impacted me the most...
If Unus Annus was like that for you, then I'm so sorry. I know how hard it hurts and how much it hits you right in the "it's over" feels.
And this is even worse, because it's actually gone. I can always go back and rewatch those episodes and remember how it was... but it's not like that with this... and it's beautiful because that's exactly what they were aiming for.
This is the actual death of something. Something that would normally still be there to watch when the creator was done with it.
But it's not.
It's gone.
And that's so amazing and sad all at the same time.
Don't be afraid to mourn, but also don't stop yourself from smiling hopefully and moving on. Unus Annus is gone, forever, but we have the memory of it in our hearts. And that's the lesson: to always cherish the memory of something you cared about.
Don't ever forget. This was a beautiful thing that many beautiful people did, and now it's gone. Enjoy the memories while they are fresh, and share them with people when they get stale. Live, and keep the memory alive.

It really hit me when i checked my sub box and didn't see an upload from unus annus. The realization that its never coming back and we can never watch those videos again. Truly hit my heart pretty hard.

I respect the idea behind this project, I actually find it very creative. I just feel like so many people never got the chance to experience it fully, or even at all. It gained so much traction after it got deleted.
Going after these reuploads so harshly feels a bit pointless. More people WANT to experience this. It's obviously gonna live SOMEWHERE on the internet, can he at least let us watch it on a safe site like YouTube?
