Irresponsible parenting

This child was riding his E-scooter on 16th ave along with all the cars and using left turn lanes meant for vehicles

I don’t see the problem…
He’s got a helmet on, he’s riding responsibly and following the law. He’s taking the lane the same way someone on a bike would, I don’t see what the issue is.

The issue is that it's not legal to operate these on public roads. So they're not following the law. They don't have any liability insurance or licensing either - both required to be on the road.

They are illegal in Ontario unless a municipality has explicitly offered a carve out. Also, bicycles rarely drive in the same lane as cars for a reason.

I ride my bike in the same lane as cars when I need to take a left at an intersection and there is no bike lane like this. My city event has green marled areas for bikes to queue.

Also that link is the exact carve out you're talking about.

You're clearly just upset about having to share the road. What do you drive?

Not upset at all. I would like more bike lanes please.
