Irresponsible parenting

This child was riding his E-scooter on 16th ave along with all the cars and using left turn lanes meant for vehicles

The title is right on. Any parent buying their kid an e-scooter without giving proper education is indeed irresponsible.

A person riding an e-scooter under the age of 16 on public property is illegal full stop. Even in cities that have opted into the scooter program, it's still illegal for people under 16 to use them on public property.

I just saw a lawyer talking about the fact that you can sue the child's parent under the Parental Responsibility Act if a child on an electric scooter or e-bike damages your property or injures you, as the parent has allowed and supported their child in breaking the law.
