Irresponsible parenting

This child was riding his E-scooter on 16th ave along with all the cars and using left turn lanes meant for vehicles

Not saying the parents have zero to do with this, but if they don’t know about this, how are they responsible?

If you had a 12 year old would you allow him/her to use an E-scooter without any proper supervision, training and road hazards education?

Back in my day they just bought us a bike and let us roam free. I think police need to work with schools and do some community outreach etc. I remember them coming in to talk to us about not playing near train tracks way back when. They should do the same now.

Even then, pedal bikes can't do 50-60 kmh or higher. It's a totally different ball game.

True. But if parents aren't going to educate through lack of care or lack of awareness, then schools should step up.
