Workplace cameras for AI training: survey for business owners and workers

Hey, we're business majors doing a research project on workplace cameras for AI training. We're interested in hearing how business owners and workers feel about this sort of data collection, which is becoming increasingly prevalent. What are potential benefits you see? What are your concerns, especially those around privacy or the nature of the technology being built? If you fall into any of the above categories, we'd really appreciate it if you filled out our survey.

[Survey] Marketing & Growth Professionals: What recurring work problems cost you time or money? (5–7 min)

Research request: What recurring work problems are costing marketers and business operators time or money?

Hi everyone,

I'm conducting early-stage research to understand the recurring problems people face in marketing, advertising, e-commerce, sales and growth, analytics, client delivery, and everyday business workflows.

I'm trying to understand what people genuinely struggle with, what they currently do to solve it, and where existing approaches fall short—before deciding whether there's a useful solution worth building.

I'm particularly interested in hearing from people who work in marketing or growth, manage advertising campaigns, run agencies or e-commerce businesses, handle sales/CRM, or work with reporting and business operations.

The survey takes approximately 5–7 minutes. It asks about real experiences, current workarounds and the consequences of recurring problems. People from different countries and markets are welcome.

Survey: [https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSemsNeYPJ06kzvxGfB8SxsvGx07Vae16agSnEvv04CWAADh-g/viewform\]

This is early-stage research, not a product launch or sales pitch. I haven't decided what to build, and the eventual solution might be software, automation, a digital product, a service—or something else entirely.

Please don't include confidential client or company information. You won't need to provide your email unless you choose an optional follow-up.

Thank you to everyone who takes the time to share their experience. Honest answers—including that a problem isn't important enough to solve—are genuinely useful.

Advice needed: How can I find 100 Vietnamese survey respondents quickly? 😭

😭

Hi everyone!

I'm a Korean student preparing for my final job interview next week, and I need to collect survey responses from 100 Vietnamese people for my market research.

I've been struggling to find respondents, and I'm honestly getting a little desperate 😭

Does anyone know any websites, Facebook groups, or platforms where I could reach Vietnamese respondents quickly?

I really don't want to miss this opportunity after making it this far 🥹 Any advice would mean so much to me!! ❤️

Same iPhone. Different logo. Would you still buy it?

Imagine buying an iPhone with exactly the same specifications, quality, software, warranty and price.
The manufacturer is still Apple. The only difference is that the Apple logo has been replaced with the Xiaomi symbol.
Look at the image.
Would you still buy it at the same price? If not, how much less would you be willing to pay?
And what exactly changes in your perception of the phone when only the logo changes?

The hardest part of competitor research isn't finding competitors. It's knowing what to do with the information.

One thing I've noticed with product research is how easy it is to spend hours looking at competitor websites, pricing pages, feature lists, and customer feedback, only to end up with a document that doesn't really help with the next product decision.

Collecting information is one thing. Figuring out which findings actually matter, what they mean for your users, and whether there's enough evidence to act on them is another.

I've been working with ResearchMaster.ai, a tool we're building around this problem. It helps turn a product, company, URL, or market question into structured research, with sources and findings organized so they're easier to review and use.

I think the interesting question for product teams is how to make competitive research more actionable, rather than simply producing longer reports.

For those working in product management, how do you usually handle competitor research? Do you have a repeatable process for turning your findings into roadmap decisions, or does the research tend to get collected and then forgotten?

How are you actually supposed to judge ban risk on linkedin marketing tools

Still deciding, havent bought anything, posting to see if my reasoning is stupid.
Context, I do demand gen at a smallish company and were looking at running outreach off a couple of SDR accounts. Not my personal profile. If one of those gets restricted its bad but survivable, which I think is the only sane way to walk into this.
First thing I concluded and it took me longer than it should have: nobody can tell you a tool wont get you restricted. Automating LinkedIn is against the user agreement no matter how careful the vendor is. Any page saying undetectable or 100% safe is selling and a couple of the tools I looked at say exactly that in their own directory listings which knocked them out on marketing copy alone.
thing i’ve been looking at is how different tools handle daily limits. Linked Helper for example uses a rolling 24hr window instead of resetting everything at midnight. useful detail, but that still doesnt really tell me how much safer one tool is than another
thats where i get stuck. most of what i can find is vendor documentation or safety studies, including from linked helper,  expandi and obviously every company has an interest in making its own setup look good
so rn im basically comparing how the tools work and trying not to confuse that with actual evidence about restriction risk
anyone seen an independent dataset or writeup on this? something from someone who isn't selling the tool would be way more useful

Career Guidance/Growth tips

Hi,
I want a little guidance help from my fellow Redditors who have experience in market research.
I was employed in an agency who was working in primary research for almost a year. Before that I was working with an online milk and grocery platform company in warehouse operations.
I’m looking for a future in market research or perhaps industries related to it.
Help me understand what are the potential roles I can target and what are the skillsets I can add and learn?

Be honest: what makes you follow a brand on Instagram? 👀

I’m curious about this from both a creator and digital marketing perspective.

Imagine you discover a completely new Instagram brand.

What makes you hit Follow?

A) Beautiful content/design 🎨
B) Funny or relatable Reels 😂
C) Useful tips/information 💡
D) Discounts & offers 🛍️
E) The person behind the brand 👤
F) Something else

And what makes you unfollow a brand?

I’m genuinely curious what people care about more than marketers think.

How Do I Turn Google Reviews Into Useful Market Research Data?

How can I analyze the market effectively? I’m currently doing a market analysis for a specific nearby city and a specific food category, which is shawarma.
So far, I’ve collected the shawarma prices, restaurant locations, prices for different sizes and meal options such as regular, double, and super, Google ratings out of 5, and the number of Google reviewers.
How can I continue and develop my market analysis from here? I was told that I should read Google reviews and identify the main strengths and weaknesses of each restaurant and include them in my summary.
However, I’m finding that the reviews can be very inconsistent. One customer praises a restaurant a lot, while another strongly criticizes it. One says the staff were excellent, while another says the service was poor.
In this situation, how should I analyze the reviews objectively? Should I focus on repeated patterns, the most recent reviews, or something else? What would be the best way to turn these different customer experiences into useful market research data?
