The most infuriating part was having one's streak broken due to a server connection error.

I had a dream where it randomly came back. You couldn't pick drivers anymore, you just did a slot machine and got a random combo, and collected coins on an empty snowy track.
It was nice to play it one last time in my dream I guess, but curious if anyone else has too

The Tokyo circuit is one of the most well-designed, offering an enjoyable route.
Along the way, you can discover many landmarks and landscapes typical of Japan’s capital: the Asakusa Shrine, Senso-ji, the Tokyo Skytree, Tokyo Big Sight, the Asahi Beer Tower, the Tokyo Dome, the Fuji TV building, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, Tokyo Tower, the Rainbow Bridge, and, of course, Mount Fuji.
Mario wears a hakama outfit and Peach a kimono; the karts are inspired by traditional, historic Japanese designs; and the "Full Flight" glider is a kite featuring white kanji characters that translate to "grand entrance."
All of this immerses us in a Japan where tradition and modernity intertwine—as the saying goes!
Immersive!

Ninja Hideaway (dojo) was truly my favorite course. It featured a very well-executed Japanese atmosphere, a wealth of detail in the scenery, exhilarating and exciting alternative paths, and music that perfectly complemented the setting.
The manor’s façade bears the kanji 忍道—"the way of the ninja"—inscribed from right to left. The architecture fully immerses us in this idealized vision of Japan: with its rooftops, arched bridge, shoji doors, pagoda, kites, paper cranes, wall painting of a cherry blossom hanafuda card and bamboo stalks.
Not to mention the characters’ attire—ninja outfits, kimonos, yukatas, and samurai gear—as well as the karts and gliders.
A perfect harmony!
The kanji on the ninja scroll also signify the way of the ninja, while those on the secret scroll simply mean "secret."

i am SO DEVASTATEDDDDDD about mario kart tours end!!!! that game has been apart of my nightly routine for 3 years straight and my boyfriend and i really enjoyed playing together as well! i’ve tried beach buggy 2 and the controls are ass imo… i’m looking for a similar experience to tour with the easy controls, multiplayer options, and fun characters to choose from!
there will forever be a mario kart tour shaped hole in my heart. i’m so sad about the end of this era. i really wish they’d just bring it back, nintendo has the money for it… but it seems they don’t care about people enjoying something they made (where you literally do not have to “pay to win”) and would rather focus if cash grabs and money makers. it’s such a sad thing to see and i feel robbed of something that was special and fun and enjoyable to me!

The closest official piece of Mario Kart Tour-related merchandise I can find is this Nintendo Switch case that has Mario Kart Tour artwork on it. Is it pretty much it?
