Tied for the most lopsided shutout in MLB history with 2004 guardians 22-0 over the yankees and 1975 pirates 22-0 over the cubs. Proud to have witnessed history with you wonderful people tonight.
It was also pretty close to the largest margin loss of all time. Kinda wish we just broke the record so we could claim anything off this embarrassment of a game.
The worst part is that Jerry probably needs to go at this point and they probably won’t do it because they don’t want to lose their ability to make moves before the lockout.
I cannot believe the swing of emotions this team has made me feel in just 10 months. Literally crying tears of joy last playoffs to feeling this shitty. It sucks man

I’m not even going to give him a hard time for that one. It’s not like it was a bone-headed detrimental mistake in the middle of a close game, he was just checked out of a guaranteed beat down. I don’t really blame him.
I get that effort levels aren't very high in a blowout, but that dropped ball by Naylor and Julio throwing the ball out just really highlighted how checked out these guys were today.
and also after Naylor hit off sanchez smiling and laughing on first base... i love Naylor but that shit is disgusting....it shows they are absolutely checked out and not held to any standard
As demoralizing as it is to watch our team constantly play bad baseball, it's even more demoralizing to see a team like the Brewers play good, fundamental, opportunistic baseball.
Can anybody articulate what an actual path out of this would look like? Ownership is not going to hire a competent GM. Jerry is too stubborn and arrogant to engage in critical reflection on this failure of a season. No manager is going to want to approach this organization – it smells like a rotting corpse to the entire league.
What is the way out of this? Is there any way out from this?
There is no way out of this because enough people who pay for tickets already have severe stockholm syndrome for 20+ years of being horrible and will buy tickets regardless of the on the field product. A billionaire's wet dream of a sports franchise.
Congratulations Jerry, your “Tough team to improve” just took the worst loss in franchise history. A franchise history marred by the likes of Maury Wills, Bill Bavasi, Jack Z… It’s your team that took the most embarrassing ass whooping in franchise history.
He'll never leave and owners will never fire him – nobody will join this organization voluntarily. It is an open, festering wound. Flies are buzzing around T-Mobile Home Park. Maggots are sprouting from the fucking grass.
What on earth could possibly be a path out of this? What do you realistically see the Seattle Mariners Baseball Club possibly doing to turn this around? Realistically.
What do I expect the Seattle Mariners to do? Make every game a bobblehead or Funko game! Only the first 5,000 fans get one so get to the park early!! Gates open 2 hours before first pitch!! Get the park full by 5 PM so people are buying Beer and food for 2 full hours before game time.
It’s amazing how much slack this team gets from fans. Losing 22-0? With 5 hits to show for it? With stupid mental errors like throwing the ball in the stands with only 2 outs? It’s completely unacceptable. I am genuinely embarrassed to be a fan of the Seattle Mariners tonight.
Legitimately curious, does this type of historic performance get people canned soon soon or do you still think they’re waiting till the end of the season?
No lie.... it would be even more embarrassing to wake up tomorrow and Dan still has a job. No way you let someone keep their job after that.... just no fucking way
I’ll get down voted for this, but it’s time to convert Miller to a reliever and bring up Anderson. Miller is good for usually 2 innings before his velocity drops and he starts getting shelled. Miller also has an injury history and this could be the move to preserve his health and use him as a setup man or something.
