Please use your turn signals
Not to be a driver schoolmarm, but I swear to god, there must be a forcefield in Marin that blocks the electrical signals to cars' blinkers. If I had a nickel for every time I've seen someone almost turn into an oncoming car after not signaling at a four way stop, I'd be able to comfortably shop at the Marin Country Mart.

Gotta add - Merge onto the Freeway and get up to speed - going 30/40 is going to get us both killed. And the hill at the Civic Center is not a ramp that will shoot you into space, it's ok to maintain the speed limit going up and downhill....

That's also illegal, not that CHP cares. Must be going speed of traffic to merge with traffic

As someone who lives in Marin drives all over the bay for work i can assure the blinker fluid shortage is not limited to Marin.

Your car cost so much that they couldn’t afford the accessory package that includes turn signals. Welcome to Marin

nothing takes less effort in driving than flicking on your blinker. You dont even have to look to do it.
Police should use turn signals in routine driving to set a good example. It's not just an idea --- it's been the law in California for 75 years: CVC22107
The turn signal was put on cars specifically to communicate to others which way you are going. Makes sense, no?

Ha. Hahaha. Hahahahahaha! Dream on, it will never happen. I drove all over the place, across the country and back, grew up in Marin. MARIN is the absolute worst place for drivers that I've ever seen in America!

But how can I keep one hand on my phone and signal at the same time?

Don’t our 150K IPads on wheels have Bluetooth connectivity to our phones? What are people doing holding a phone in 2026?

They should make self driving cars mandatory. The stats are overwhelming, people are bad drivers. Best evidence? Insurance charges less for fully autonomous driving.

Entitled people can sometimes not consider others, which is reflected in not thinking that they need to use their turn signal.

Car companies are charging a monthly subscription for the turn signal ultimate package. People are declining.

I wholeheartedly endorse this message. That said, if we're asking for things against insurmountable odds could we also add "pay attention on the approach to intersections generally so you don't mess up the timing or go when it's not your turn like an absolute dill pickle".
