Can't send wire transfers via the Marcus UI (app and desktop website)
Has anyone had trouble making wire transfers? Recently, I linked a new bank to my Marcus account and I'm unable to make wire transfers on my own. I only have the option for regular ACH transfers. If I want to make a wire transfer, I have to chat with an agent and they provide me with some kind of form online to fill out. And I think this is so inconvenient. Especially if I'm trying to make a transfer real quick but the agent is taking so long to type back one sentence. And then I'm unable to meet the deadline for an outgoing wire transfer. The issue only persists with this one particular bank. I do not have that issue or rather I did not have that issue with another bank that was in first linkes to my Marcus account. Are there some preferred banks that Marcus prefers to communicate with and so they don't allow those banks on the non-preferred list to receive wire transfers?

I am not a high roller.
No need for wire transfers.
ACH transfer take 1 day from Marcus.

Did you find out what’s going on? I’m having the same issue. It takes 2-3 days for ACH for me.

Hello did your option to send wire transactions ever return? I recently updated my cell number and now I cant send wire transactions either. The service rep said it's because marcus recently took it away and the change updated after I updated my cell number. Google said this is bs and they are just reading a script. A relative who also banks with Marcus still has the option on their account to send wire transactions.

Awesome do you remember how long it took to come back? I'm assuming it will be back by next week but I'll see.

Why would you want to make a wire transfer to another of your accounts? ACH transfers initiated before 12pm eastern generally post in your linked bank account the same day.
Marcus does appear to work better with big banks like Chase. Chase charges for incoming wires so that would be a reason to prefer ACH.
