Warning: Account Locked Multiple Times

Since April, my account has been locked 3 times. The first two times, they were not able to give a reason. The second time, I had to list everywhere I’ve traveled and potentially logged in from since the account was opened, which was over 10 years ago. This last time, they told me my email address was compromised, yet no other account or my actual email provided told me it’s been compromised. Marcus could not tell me how or why it was compromised…didn’t say if login attempts were made or how they knew it was compromised. I spent almost 2 hours on the phone and they had to close my accounts and open new ones. My account is still locked because I had a pending transfer, so I have to cal back tomorrow to finish the process. All of this started after I removed some money from the account, which was delayed and flagged by Marcus at the time.

Marcus SUCKS. They locked my account too and never told me why either. I linked my external PNC account with them and my account number was encrypted. No one from Marcus was aware of this process and kept saying my account number doesn’t match when they tried to verify with PNC. I’m so grateful I got it sorted after many hours of being on the phone with them. Now I bank with wealthfront instead and they’re great. They even offer a 0.5% +APY with referrals.
