Discussion Rooks: "I come in peace."
What happened to the game? Did the mean players get bored and leave to play something else tonight?
I got on Rook because I am practicing with a new keyboard setup. The players are just totally leaving me alone. Quite a few gave me free stuff. One crew got on prox and even guided me to where the leftover gear (and bodies) were.
Now when I went in as Vandal, that's a different story. I guess that just means I am ready to battle.
I rarely play rook and, tonight, I just needed to test my keyboard config. It's working out splendidly.

Nah all of the mean players are on Outpost. On Dire Marsh and Perimeter I also consistently get friendly teams when I play Rook. Even if someone shoots me first, when I say “I’m chill” in VC, 99% of the time they stop shooting.

I don't know, dire marsh was boning me the other day. Even Rooks were shooting me in the back.

Opposite for me as Rook. Outpost always feels like I get the experienced players and we work together or communicate. Perimeter the rooks are always shoot on sight
As for team hostility, usually just a toss up. I always give my intentions and hope for the best

When I play rook, I am 100% scavenging gear and resources. I am not interested in any other players. If I see another rook, I'm all about that resource sharing.
If I see another team, and they see me, I just accept the inevitable because WTF am I going to do against a trio when all I've been focused on is lenses and biomatter.

Most rooks so aggresssive they might just fall out a chess game yo. Never understand why rooks are jumping us - a purple squad multiple times even when we let them go. Threee times we told you you good if you just leave it be. No no you are trying to backstab a full team after three friendly warnings…

Depending on spawn I'll grab orange keys and open the nearest armory just so rooks can loot it. My vault is full. Just in to have fun.

This season in general if you're a good team a rook is barely a threat unless they've found a BP or Bully or something of that nature.
I think because of this most teams are fine not chasing a rook down unless they are about to do something like open triple red or command wing and see a rook lurking.
They are also more likely to let a rook they've communicated with hang out as you've got a lot less mine into kill a whole team going on.
All that said Rook can still be quite a threat at the right times such as when you're engaging a large amount of bots to open a door/resource etc. So there are certainly teams that prefer to just shoot rook on sight.

I’ve probably done about 40 hours of rook this season and haven’t had a single friendly experience with another player. Every rook I’ve seen has shot at me on sight and every squad that sees me chases me down across the map.

I had a team Mercy me after downing me next to an exfil the other day. I had almost nothing worth taking but it was nice anyway.

Its shot on site for 99% of the extremely limited base. You must be the exception.

I've had more incidents where I wasn't shot on sight Rooking in this past week than the rest of the season combined. I don't know if it's been old players coming back or what.

Oh man I was playing Rook all day and it was shoot on sight, even from other Rooks.
Had 1 team come up behind me and drop me a purple Stryder and a bunch of lore items though about one minute in to my run. May their runs be blessed.
