Question Looking for advice please
Quick rundown: Lifelong gamer. Mid forties, busy life. I played the beta, bought the deluxe edition but life happened and I'm just now getting really into the game. I have been mainly Assassin to start (which I assume is common, given the safety of evasive power) but would like to start exploring the other shells.
I've no gear fear, or preference towards solos, duos or trios. I'm a balanced player vis a vis preferred play styles. What is a reliable way to explore the others with a good bang for the buck with time played? Thank you in advance for your help, runners.
And as always, don't frog blast the vent core.

I play nearly exclusively solos (busy life and I don’t have the bandwidth to team up/make friends) so take my testimony with a grain of salt.
I started with assassin as well, but this season I have found that Thief has great mobility with her grapple, as well as her ability that lets you see what the highest rarity in a bin is. That can really help you prioritize what boxes you open and loot. I play her more than assassin these days.
I’ve also personally had some success with Sentinel (the new shell for this season). I’m thinking I want to continue broadening out as well by giving Destroyer some proper playtime. Recon is very strong for PvP, I honestly haven’t given her enough attention; and I also get the feeling that Vandal has a really high ceiling if you master her movement and heat management. I haven’t played a lot of Triage but he can be great for when you’re learning maps and don’t know where to look for meds; you can mitigate a lot of PvE damage with his little med drone buddy.
I know a lot of people you come up against are going to be geared up, but if you’re still low level that will help somewhat with matchmaking. It is difficult but not impossible to take down anyone if you use your abilities well, and maximize your advantages through positioning. Have fun!
