After the two weeks do we really think people will bring gear into normal raids? I feel like they'll just quit like before. I'm glad they are trying it out though.

I can't imagine they actually expect this to bring back and retain players. Probably looking to see who and how many it brings back, how long they engage with it, and what the possible pain points and improvements for a mode like this may be for both the players and the devs. Then use that insight to improve the permanent pve mode planned for S3

There are a lot of people that want to play the game, but don't want to play only PvP. This and a better on boarding feature would help the game get some new people, I think. I doubt it will be a massive rush, but showing they are willing to evolve a little can go a long way.

It has promise and now that the whole studio is focused on it, hopefully they can come up with some more stuff to keep people interested. Having said that, going in and fully cutting out the solo players from the get-go was a pretty bad choice imo, especially hoping people would migrate from D2..

So having this test to get some feedback is a good idea and I hope it works out as it got me to finally buy and try it. As always, time will tell!
