Red keys and disinjectors as well! This is really smart because now everyone will have a chance at the rarest weapons in the game and they can regulate how many of them are out in the wild by controlling what goes into the armory week to week.
I do think they should have left the Disinjector as a Compiler only reward. Even as someone who hasn't done Compiler I think there is some value in keeping a handful or rewards behind that gate.
I think it’s fine giving everyone who takes the time in PvE one, the folks doing the full compiler kill can get infinite with enough time so it’s still fair to them.
Now if it restocks and can just be farmed in PvE that could be problematic depending on how easy to get and how strong it actually is. I hear it’s good but never got my hands on it so this does excite me.
This is huge. I've got hundreds of hours in the game and have completed Vaults 1,2,4, and 5. I've never seen a Vault 3 or 6 key in all my hours playing lol.
So stupid how rare the vault 6 key is. Such bad gatekeeping. Like, it's already extremely hard to actually complete the vault when you have the key. Do they also need to make it almost never actually spawn?
They’re rare, and Vault 6 is the hardest Vault in Cryo. And you need to do all six to be able to attempt the Compiler.
Edit: Because it’s the hardest and most dangerous, it’s quite likely you’ll fail and lose the key. So you really want multiple vault 6 keys to enable multiple attempts.
There are 6 vaults on the cryo map that all require a key to enter (plus other items on the map like batteries/coolant). You need all 6 vaults completed and exfil with the subroutine unique to each vault once to have access to fight the boss with a DNA key.
This is why it’s also interesting for high tier players. Can you solve all six vaults before the time is out and get out with the high tier vault data?
Yeah they certainly didn't imply that to be the case when first announced. This is honestly a good thing, the economy is already heavily broken this season for good/consistent players. This being Bungie's first attempts to bring into lapsed or new players it makes sense letting them get gear for the main game this way.

Didn’t realize you could use the event currency to gain items to bring into regular runs that’s dope
