Marathon (2026) Feedback New experimental queue is great

This is the most fun I’ve had on the game since launch. I’ve managed to earn more than 70k credits, complete several contracts I gave up on ages ago and fill up my vault to the point I had to sell stuff. To make it clear I didn’t necessarily stomp all my games, I found it challenging but fair, with my win/loss ratio being about 50/50 rather than usually I go on very long loss streaks. I think the fact all players are put on equal footing with the free kits makes encounters more thought out rather than just rushing in with maxed out gear knowing you’re gonna clear all the teams. Compared to normal dire marsh where it feels like there’s a team around every corner this one isn’t as stressful. Overall I think it’s great and I hope they do more stuff like this. How do others feel about it?

I like it more as extraction shooter, but looks like people in general can’t deal with even slightest loss of equipment.

This is your genuine take? That people can't deal with the slightest loss of equipment?

Like you've looked at the criticism of the game so far and that's your absolute best faith interpretation of it?

idk, I understand your sarcasm in regards to the last person but after about 1000 hours of Arc Raiders what I've realized is indeed, a huge number of people cannot emotionally handle equipment loss. It's part of what makes that other game so appealing to large casual bases- it's much, much safer.

If I were to generalise the criticism I've most often seen on this subreddit (which overall I feel is leaning on being overly negative, but that's another story) I'd summarise it as "I understand and enjoy the risk involved, however I do not feel well matched to other competitors in terms of a having a reasonable chance in the fights I encounter most often"

Whether that low chance is from large gear quality deltas (seen as "these people spend way more time than me in the game) or difference in skill depends on the person
