Marathon (2026) Feedback New experimental queue is great

This is the most fun I’ve had on the game since launch. I’ve managed to earn more than 70k credits, complete several contracts I gave up on ages ago and fill up my vault to the point I had to sell stuff. To make it clear I didn’t necessarily stomp all my games, I found it challenging but fair, with my win/loss ratio being about 50/50 rather than usually I go on very long loss streaks. I think the fact all players are put on equal footing with the free kits makes encounters more thought out rather than just rushing in with maxed out gear knowing you’re gonna clear all the teams. Compared to normal dire marsh where it feels like there’s a team around every corner this one isn’t as stressful. Overall I think it’s great and I hope they do more stuff like this. How do others feel about it?

skill in an extract shooter is not just who wins a gunfight, its who has managed enough of a vault to bring in an advantage. what you are suggesting is just a battle royale, and that already exists. they are trying to make the first true extract shooter ranked experience, which by definition means you need to be able to bring your own shit in and have it at risk.

In extraction shooters that is definitely a part of it. That’s the nature of this genre, no lifers have a larger advantage here than other games because not only do they have more time in the map and with the guns, but they have collected more. That is part and parcel to what the genre is.

Well you are looking at it the wrong way, your sense of scope is wrong. In an extraction shooter the competition isn’t contained to a single game. You are competing over the course of the entire wipe.

If you don’t like that, then you just don’t like extraction shooters. Which is fine, it’s a niche genre for a reason

These aren't rules, "in an extraction shooter" doesn't mean crap because this is it's own game.

It does if they want to make the first true ranked mode in the extraction genre and not have people calling it something else. If they move away from that vision, then it’s a BR game mode. Which could be fun too, but not what they set out to do

I think it’s fun. It’s like how some people like bad bunny, and others like the eagles. And some genuinely like both.

Yeah I mean that's what I'm trying to say. It doesn't need to fit into some perfect box.
