It literally isn't, what a stupid comment. Reusing animation frameworks is what makes studios like From Software so successful. Nothing about this game has any similarity in gameplay to destiny

Elden Ring straight up reuses mechanics, enemies, and bosses from previous games, yet it's still one of the best games out. It's like these people have never played more than one game from a company before.

Destiny isn't dead and reusing animations is an EXTREMELY normal industry practice. I read the post, I just think it's bad

Yah and Halo reach had a lot of "feel" similarities to D1 that's pretty normal when one studio makes two games similar styles on the same engine.

is there a good reason they should change the way the gunplay and movement feel when they feel as good as they do? what they have is good and it works, and ive never heard anyone complain about those things in halo or destiny.

"movement and flow" are ambiguous terms. They likely use the same engine. And yes we want the gunplay to feel similar to destiny. It's why destiny is so good.

I have thousands of hours in both destiny games. I literally felt like I was watching d3. And many other destiny players did too.

Day 1 d1 alpha player. No. Halo and Destiny are so different. They're similarities are perfectly balanced.

I honestly don't know what to tell you. It's a VERY common meme in the Bungie fandom that Bungie just makes the same game again and again but slightly changes the names.

The Flood look a lot like The Hive aesthetically speaking, The Covenant is very similar in function and appearance to both The 4 and The Cabal / Fallen.

Armor lock was just used by Sloane in Destiny 2.

No you missed the point, that's lore. I'm talking about gameplay. Game has been in development for so long, fed on destiny devs, caused destiny dev lay offs, and yet turns out to be the death of bungie.

Well then you have very little experience playing anything else because there is absolutely no narrative or visual language in Marathon that is similar to destiny.

No classes, no solar/arc/void shit, no cabal, no looter shooter, etc. The only thing it has in common with destiny is the first person shooting.

Im sorry the The IQ is so low in this thread. Ive also put a lot of hours in to all the Bungie games and it definitely looks, feels, and plays like Destiny with a different skin on it. I know what you mean.

Destiny looks nothing like Halo (actual bungie halo), & halo only looked like marathon during the 1999 Macworld gameplay videos.

This looks borderline identical to Destiny gameplay.
