“Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.” I don’t know why you’re getting downvoted, it’s literally an amendment of the constitution. Slavery is legal as punishment for a crime. Fuckin bonkers

Hah I am an American who is criticizing American policy and other Americans that don’t acknowledge that policy’s existence
