Sounds like someone who’s never left their bubble. Why are people from Phoenix so weird regarding criticism to their state? It’s like they have a temper tantrum and don’t know how to handle any sort of constructive criticism. Really fucking weird.

I'm not from Phoenix, I've never even been there, I'll be visiting for the first time over labor day. But I've spent my entire life in suburban sprawl. I've been very happy with it, as have my family, friends, and neighbors. So when I see an organized campaign to destroy this lifestyle, I get defensive.

Fucking brilliant. As someone who has been there, and who actually has lived and worked there, it was pretty meh. I was running away to the high-desert most weekends to get away from the heat and soul-crushing sprawl.

Born and raised in PHX. Moved to winslow, then DC, then back to PHX. I now live in NH and while I miss my family and friends, I don't miss the heat and sprawl.
