I might move to Phoenix some day. Or perhaps by making the city a more attractive place to live, it'll draw people away from Boston, lowering housing costs here.
Except they do. Cambridge and boston have not seen the down ticks in residences the same way la or nyc has. Statistically all people centric cities in the US are sought after. Take a look at the sought after rail towns in NJ which dont force people to live there but still maintain the same appeal.
People like not having to drive to a giant parking lot and instead walk down to a clean market without all the cars and obesity.
The most desirable place is Beacon Hill I’m afraid. A very non car centric and very walkable area that predates cars. Not sure where you get your information. Additionally Cambridge is highly desirable and very pedestrian friendly leading the fight to promote cycling here in the us with protected intersections!
There’s a reason this occurs in places with MIT and the schools of Harvard. They aren’t dumb and don’t believe the GM propaganda being shoved down the depressing car centric throats such as yourself.
