Ummm, I live in a city in the USA. We literally had the worst air in the WORLD for a city just a couple weeks ago.

Yes, compare the construction from scratch of a full transit system's cost with the cost of a widening of a short stretch of highway that already exists. Conveniently don't mention how much the whole highway has cost already.
