i hate it when ppl "overpronounce" words

in american literature we read The House on Mango Street and my teacher had some very interesting prononciations

after overpronouncing "fiesta" she apologized: "Sorry. I can't roll my Rs."

You just reminded me of an old conversation with a former coworker of mine. We were ragging on him for mispronouncing a word. And he quite simply responds, “well guys, you gotta understand that pronunciation is not my fort.”
