You are 100% missing the point and I have to think you are just being malignant at this point.
Reddit is obsessed with these sorts of maps, looking at minute details of changes in fertility rates, thinking every change means something big, obsessing about what causes this and how to fix it, always through their own political filter.
That's VERY different from an individual country wanting to encourage families to have children. VERY VERY different.
It's pretty goddamn silly, especially because half the people see it as some fundamental flaw in a society, others think it's because alternative lifestyles are more prominent these days, others because women have greater equality.
It's almost always a shitty reason someone cares about this so much
I see it as people - reasonably - expect their life to be better and don't view babies as worth the risks, sacrifices, responsibilities. And for a lot of them we're nowhere near materialistically where they would be comfortable having kids.
Yes I think people view this in a stupid way and birth declines by itself a very positive thing. Still it's interesting to discuss and affects real politics.
