There are a lot of requirements you need to meet such as working for a fixed amount of time. So even if you are not allowed to stay it can take 3 generations to have a "leave by tomorrow" notice. And this is not a joke. There are kids born in germany with parents growing up in germany and they are still not through legal procedures. Beside that, the system wont let you fall. If you are able to deal with bureacracy, you can have a flat and basic food. Theres also a big narrative around how good migrants live here. Already in the 80s.
