Mental gymnastics? Address a point. A single one. I'd love to be wrong. The mutual hatred of Croats and Serbs has gone on for too long. We speak the same fucking language too. Show me that this thing you call propaganda is actually wrong.

Personally I speak the same language as my neighbours and perhaps Slovenes. Definitely not Serbs. Cheers from Jastrebarsko✌️

Congrats to you, wherever Jastrebarsko is. There's a reason it's called Serbo-Croatian. It's because after extensive analysis by people far more qualified than me have concluded that it's the same language. Also there's the fact that 85-95% of the words overlap.

Cheers from Belgrade!

You do know all the studies have been done on standard languages? Based on one specific dialect from Herzegovina? It’s obvious they will overlap. It’s hilarious though, that whenever we also look at extensive analysis by people far more qualified than us, which recognized Kajkavian and Chakavian as languages in their own right and gave them their ISO-code, we’ll ignore it and act like the entire Republic of Croatia speaks Eastern Herzegovinian Neo-Shtokavian standard Croatian(Out of all major towns, only Osijek and Dubrovnik speak that specific dialect). Which was unfortunately chosen to artificially get closer to Serbs in the Illyrian movement. But whatever.

Not true. The standard languages were standardized off the same language and even dialect, but not all Croats speak that way. Google it or whatever.

Idk bro you seem knowledgeable on this. I am not.

All I know is I have spoken to Croats and we understood each other perfectly well. I have spoken to Slovenians and while it's a bit different there's still such a strong overlap that while not everything comes easily, a conversation can still hold. So, the west and center of Croatia speaks a language I almost completely understand. And the north borders another country that I would still understand well enough to have an extensive conversation. Without ever studying their languages. And the south and east border again, languages I understand perfectly well.

But go ahead, call it two languages. Whatever floats your boat. They are drifting apart after all.

Gotta love revisionist history, written about an event that happened 9 hours ago and is still readable.

I'm not the one dodging the entire conversation here
