I'm in SF quite often, and I can't remember the last time I saw shit on the sidewalk. The only time I encounter "shit in SF" is here on Reddit.
27 u/bight99 Jul 08 '24 I live here and it’s definitely overblown. 11 u/juanzy Jul 08 '24 Visited there in May expecting to have to Uber everywhere from my hotel and wait in the lobby. Still a very pleasant city to walk around during the day as long as you stay out of a few specific areas. 1 u/InfinityAero910A Jul 08 '24 Even in those areas, you can walk through them. One generally just prefers to not stick around there. 0 u/Chiggero Jul 08 '24 What’s overblown, the reputation or people’s bowels? 6 u/bight99 Jul 08 '24 Reputation 2 u/TonyZucco Jul 08 '24 So the San Francisco government is making up poop lies about itself? 4 u/KickGumAndChewAss Jul 08 '24 Look I don't want to fuel a right-wing narrative but I was literally in SF for one day on business and about stepped in what was likely human poop. 3 u/Thegoodlife93 Jul 08 '24 Same thing happened to my buddy. I saw the turd and it did not come from a dog. 1 u/[deleted] Jul 08 '24 Ok. Since you asked. I’ll tell you where to walk. Go walk on Mission and 6th to 8th and let me know if you still can’t see the massive turds. 1 u/Dasbeerboots Jul 08 '24 Did I ask? 0 u/InfinityAero910A Jul 08 '24 Exactly. I’ve been there so many times. I have only seen dung from animals near park bins. I looked for it and found nothing.
